Enterprises for Natural Climate Protection - Part 2: Greening buildings and near-natural rainwater infiltration

Settlement areas, including company buildings and premises as well as business parks, are often heavily sealed and have a high level of soil compaction. However, it is possible to use these areas for natural climate protection. This can be achieved by greening facades and roofs in a near-natural way. Decentralized precipitation management and the efficient use of water on company premises can also help to achieve positive effects for people, nature and the climate.

In our seminar series, experts offer an insight into how to proceed when planning the greening of buildings and which measures are possible for near-natural rainwater infiltration. Examples will be used to show how this approach can be implemented in practice. The KfW will present the currently suitable funding opportunity for companies in the Natural Climate Protection Action Program, the "KfW Environmental Program".
