The German Werkbund Day 2017 on the topic of work and education, prepared by the Deutscher Werkbund Bayern e.V. in cooperation with the Werkbund Werkstatt Nürnberg e.V., will take place from 14 to 16 July 2017 in Nuremberg at the home of the Bavarian State Ministry of Finance, Regional Development and Home Affairs.

Within the framework of a pop-up university, speakers and participants come together as students under the art figure Herbert 4.0. In lectures and workshops, they jointly develop a future-oriented intersection of creative and technical, economic and cultural action. To this end, the pop-up university offers multi-layered opportunities for presentation and discussion on creative further development and an innovative restructuring of our entire world of work and education. With the publication of the conference results, forward-looking perspectives on education in the wake of digitalisation will be presented.
