Initiative "The better LEP for Bavaria" - Bavaria, from the head back to the feet!

A new spatial concept for Bavaria is overdue! Urgent future issues such as affordable housing and compact settlement development, vibrant centres and sustainable mobility, climate change and energy transition as well as open space protection are on the table. Regions, cities and municipalities cannot cope with this within their borders alone. They need a reliable framework and more support from an overall, strategic state planning system!

With the initiative "The better LEP for Bavaria", the leading professional organizations and associations are calling for a consistent rethinking and further development of state planning. We would very much like to present our proposal on how the new start can look like in concrete terms and cordially invite you to the press conference on Thursday, 7.06.2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the PresseClub München e.V., Marienplatz 22, 80331 Munich, www.presseclub-muenchen.de.

As interlocutors of the initiative, representatives of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects (BYAK), the Association of German Architects (BDA), the State Association for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage as well as the Chairwoman of the German Academy for Urban Development and Regional Planning, Bavarian Regional Group (DASL), Andrea Gebhard, the President of the Bavarian Academy of Rural Areas, Prof. Dr. Holger Magel and the Vice President of the Bavarian Academy of Rural Areas, Prof. Dr. Manfred Miosga will be available.
