Landscape architecture is largely perceived by the public, as well as by the players themselves, as a "green" profession that is "sustainable" per se. Is this true?

The interdisciplinary approach to training and the broadly diversified fields of activity of landscape architects provide a good basis for taking environmental issues into account and thus for the sustainability of planning. Especially in the context of renaturation planning or near-natural outdoor facilities, landscape architecture tends to consume fewer resources than it creates.

After an introduction to the basics of sustainable building and its relevance for landscape architecture, the seminar is intended to enable participants to apply the existing evaluation systems or those currently under development in their everyday planning work. The aim is to get to know the design scope but also the regulatory gaps of the systems.

The target group of the advanced training event are landscape architects, urban planners and executing specialist companies who have contact with topics of landscape architecture and open space planning in the course of interdisciplinary cooperations or the evaluation of the sustainability of projects.
