12th Weihenstephan Forum 2019: LOS_DAMA! Final event
Landscape Architecture and Landscape Planning
Urban "everyday" landscapes have important social and ecological functions for the cities of the Alpine region. At the same time, the diverse requirements of numerous interest groups in politically fragmented urban regions have to be reconciled. "Green infrastructure" is a promising planning approach for the development of multifunctional green networks that simultaneously achieve different policy goals, such as strengthening social cohesion and biodiversity. The European project "Los Dama! has developed and tested different approaches for the development of "green infrastructure" through inter-communal cooperation with different stakeholders. At the end of the project, the Weihenstephan Forum offers the opportunity to take a closer look at the potentials of landscape development as a connecting medium between city and countryside, European funding and local practice as well as science and practice in lectures and discussions.
