The new publication of the Department of Urban Planning and Building Regulations of the City of Munich is not only an interesting read, but also an important professional basis for green planning: The open spaces of Munich's inner city and their historical development are summarized in a brochure for the first time. The 176-page work is available as a free download on the website of the City of Munich. The print version is also available free of charge.

The new brochure contains many historical plans, photos, drawings and paintings. It was compiled by historian Dr. Christine Rädlinger together with Munich publisher Franz Schiermeier on behalf of the Green Planning Department of the Department of Urban Planning and Building Regulations. The publication complements the Old Town Guidelines published in 2015, which primarily deal with the urban planning side of the Old Town ensemble.
