The competition was organized by the Bavarian Association of German Landscape Architects (bdla) in cooperation with the Bavarian Chamber of Architects and the Bavarian Association of Garden, Landscape and Sports Field Construction.

An international jury of experts headed by bdla board member Doris Grabner made a pre-selection from 31 national submissions and decided on the winners in a second round of judging following project inspections by a specialist journalist.

A first prize (main prize) was awarded, and the winners in the competition categories (awards) were also recognized. The Audience Award, which was presented for the first time in 2024, was also awarded.
