Naturally designed areas in the city and in the built-up surrounding area are future-proof, sustainable, multifunctional and diverse. They make an immensely important contribution to a liveable environment and increase the quality of stay. They can significantly mitigate the effects of extreme weather conditions such as drought and heavy rainfall events. Compared to sealed surfaces, they offer protection from the sun and heat. Valuable living, exercise and retreat spaces are created for children, young people and adults, as well as a valuable haven for native flora and fauna.
Nature playgrounds and green schoolyards are therefore places of biodiversity and education for sustainable development.
The conference is dedicated to both ecological and climate-friendly design options. The educational importance of natural play areas and safety-related aspects will be highlighted: early contact with nature promotes good and healthy development to a high degree. The top-class lecture program will be supplemented with subject-related excursion destinations.
The excursion on the second day presents specific projects, provides ideas and support for conception, implementation and maintenance. It offers a diverse exchange of experiences and networking.
