Urban landscapes in motion
In a fitness and health-conscious society, play, sport and exercise facilities in urban areas are becoming increasingly attractive alongside traditional sport in clubs. They are becoming important points of attraction and, quite naturally, architectural elements in urban spaces.
Public and freely accessible exercise facilities enable an intensive neighborhood and bond between the urban community and its green spaces. They are an integral part of the urban lifestyle and thus an enrichment with high social value for the community.
As an "add-on" to the DAM exhibition of the same name, the lecture series presents award-winning projects in the creative interplay of landscape architecture, architecture, urban planning, art and design. Socio-scientific components play an important role alongside sophisticated, standardized and high-quality design as a network for coexistence and cooperation in an active urban society and in the neighbourhood.
