During the winter semester 2022/23, students of the Landscape Architecture Department, Open Space Planning course, of the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences dealt with issues that directly affect the interests of the city of Osnabrück. The topic was "district centers with residential value" in various parts of Osnabrück. In the module "Project Urban Development", under the technical expertise of Prof. Dirk Manzke, 11 working groups analyzed, observed, tracked down and finally concretely designed the relevant content. The results are stimulating study drafts that enrich the discussion on a conscious, reflected and designed urban densification in Osnabrück. The drafts want to provide suggestions for urban development potentials. They invite you to walk through the city with an open mind and, inspired by the studies, to think further about the existing spaces in order to address contemporary issues.
