It is becoming increasingly too hot or too wet in our cities. We can no longer turn back these climate changes, but we can - and must! - adapt. How do we deal with extreme weather events such as heatwaves or heavy rain? How can we store and infiltrate all the water in our cities to prevent flooding? How can we cool our parks, squares and streets so that we still want to be outside in summer? How should we plan, build and plant in the future?
The regional representative for the Weser-Ems region, architect Horst Gumprecht, talks about these and other questions with Dr.-Ing. Carsten Dierkes from the H20 Research Institute in Münster.
