The event series Squares, Parks and Co. will be continued with an event on the future of the Köbelinger Markt in Hanover on

05 April 2017 from 18.00 - 21.00, at the KUBUS Gallery, Theodor-Lessing-Platz 2.

In a prominent location in Hanover's city centre, Köbelinger Markt marks the beginning and end of the historic old town. It played an important role in the City Dialogue 2020 for the development of a new city centre concept. Here, concrete plans for the redesign emerged, which envisage residential development close to the city centre and changes in the area of the former Maritim Hotel and the old adult education centre.

In view of the extensive planned redesign, the bbs, Bürgerbüro Stadtentwicklung Hannover e.V., would like to present an interim status of the planning and ideas process and initiate a dialogue in the neighbourhood. In addition to a presentation of the current planning status of the city of Hanover, Dipl.-Ing. Harald Kiefer (BDA) will once again look back on the preliminary considerations from the City 2020 concept. Afterwards, the plans for Köbelinger Markt will be discussed. The results of the evening are to be introduced into the further dialogue process with politics and administration.
