Statement on the Wind Energy Decree (WEE)

On 02.09.2021, the new Wind Energy Decree (WEE) of the Ministry of Environment, Energy, Construction and Climate Protection (MU) came into force, replacing the decree of 24.02.2016.
Against the background of numerous legal disputes, the MU intends to use the decree to provide guidance and assistance for the expansion of wind energy use in Lower Saxony.
In the run-up to the amendment to the decree, the Lower Saxony Chamber of Architects was asked for its opinion. In cooperation with the SRL e.V. and the bdla Niedersachsen Bremen, the Chamber of Architects of Lower Saxony has issued two statements.
