State Garden Shows

Anzeige Text im Grid: Nein

State garden shows have established themselves as an important stimulus for contemporary urban development, with an increase in the quality of life and environment within the city and networking with the surrounding landscape.

The opportunity to make the strengths of the respective municipalities with their specific characteristics known nationwide is used at every State Garden Show.

Impulses for the medium-sized economy, city and regional marketing, tourism, but also for cultural development and the togetherness of the local population are positive effects that should not be underestimated. The State Garden Show in Bad Iburg 2018 is proof of this.

The primary goal of garden shows in the future will continue to be the creation, design and preservation of permanent urban open spaces in the immediate settlement area and the improvement of the quality of life and the social environment of the residents. An improvement of the urban climate as well as the ecological quality of the areas is thereby a component of a contemporary and sustainable urban development, in which landscape planning and design concepts should be an integral part of urban planning.

At the state garden shows, the horticultural profession also has the opportunity to present its ideas and skills in the design and ecological fields. The bdla Niedersachsen Bremen also offers this opportunity to students and young graduates of landscape architecture. Young generation competitions with following realization on the horticultural show are accomplished with the most different topics more information...

Together with the chamber of architects the bdla Lower Saxony and Bremen developed a guide for interested municipalities, which gives substantial references for the execution of a national horticultural show.
