At the representatives' meeting on 14 October 2017, Karl-Heinz Danielzik, former chairman of the regional group and specialist spokesman for LAGL, was unanimously appointed to the board of the North Rhine-Westphalia Chamber of Architects.

The chairmanship of the committee landscape architects is taken over by Norbert Hellmann, speaker for landscape planning of the bdla nw. Friedhelm Terfrüchte, spokesman for urban planning in the bdla nw, was elected as a representative.

In addition to the upcoming elections, numerous professional policy resolutions were also passed.

"The general conditions for planning and building in the state must be further improved!" this programmatic demand was formulated as a goal by Ernst Uhing, President of the Chamber of Architects of North Rhine-Westphalia (AKNW). At their meeting in Düsseldorf, the 201 delegates of the NRW Architects' Parliament demanded, among other things, more attractive tax incentives to stimulate new construction in Germany, the acceleration of procedures under building regulations law and more personnel in the building authorities.
