Following numerous customer feedbacks, NürnbergMesse decided in close consultation with the German Garden, Landscape and Sports Ground Construction Association (BGL) on 16 June not to hold the exhibition GaLaBau 2020 as planned. "We are not taking this step rashly and only after careful consideration," says Petra Wolf, Member of the Management Board, NürnbergMesse. "The wishes of our exhibitors and visitors played a major role in our decision that GaLaBau will not be held in Nürnberg again as usual until 2022."

NürnbergMesse and Bundesverband Garten-, Landschafts- und Sportplatzbau e.V. (BGL) jointly announced in a press release on June 16 that a GaLaBau in September 2020 cannot be realized as originally planned. "This decision is based on a comprehensive survey of exhibitors registered for 2020. GaLaBau is an experience trade fair. It thrives in particular on live demonstrations, competitions and the opportunity to touch and try out machinery, equipment and materials. Even though our customers have the need to make contacts and find out about new products, the concerns in the industry due to the Covid-19 pandemic are simply too present to allow GaLaBau to take place in the usual format. We are now looking ahead optimistically and putting our full energy into GaLaBau 2022," says Petra Wolf, Member of the Management Board, NürnbergMesse.

The new date for 2022 has already been set, so please make a note of it: 14-17 September 2022, as always in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg.
