More information about the LGS
The municipality of Kirchheim-Heimstetten applied for the development of the central local park for the 2024 State Garden Show (LGS) as part of the overall urban development concept "Kirchheim 2030" under the motto "Growing together" and was awarded the contract. After winning the "LGS Kirchheim 2024" realization competition in summer 2019, the landscape architecture firm SINAI, Berlin, was commissioned with the overall planning of the 10-hectare site.
The planners developed five natural spaces, known as "spheres", with a central water area. After almost four years of construction, during which time local development continued in the immediate vicinity with housing and school construction, the Kirchheim 2024 State Garden Show is now about to open (May 15, 2024).
