Bavarian Architecture Prize 2024: Honor for Irene Burkhardt

The winners of the Bavarian Architecture Prize 2024 have been announced: The Board of Trustees, chaired by architect Prof. Lydia Haack, President of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects, awarded three prizes and two commendations.
The Kooperative Grossstadt, architect Florian Nagler and the Diözesanmuseum Freising were awarded the Bavarian Architecture Prize. Florian Nagler also received the Bavarian State Prize for Architecture.
The bdla Bayern is extremely pleased about the recognition for landscape architect Irene Burkhardt (Burkhardt | Engelmayer | Mendel Landschaftsarchitekten Stadtplaner Partnerschaft mbB), who, as the "grande dame" of Bavarian landscape architecture, has been involved in professional politics for many years, including as former chairwoman of the bdla Bayern and for many years as vice president of the bdla.

At the award ceremony on 17.10.2024 at the Haus der Architektur in Munich, the Bavarian Chamber of Architects and the Bavarian State Government honored for the eighth time personalities who have made a special contribution to building culture in Bavaria.
