StudyUp Award 2023 decided in Lower Saxony

This year, the bdla jury honored three final theses from both Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and Leibniz University Hanover. Prize money of €500 is associated with 1st place and €300 with 2nd place. Recognition will also be awarded. All winners will be offered a free junior membership of the bdla for one year, with exclusive information, services and benefits from the association.

Prize winners: Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences

1st prize

Antonia Gnielka

for her Bachelor's thesis in the Landscape Development course: "The resilience of biotope network systems in Lower Saxony's landscape framework planning under climate change aspects - a GIS-supported model using the example of the Nienburg (Weser) LRP".

2nd prize

Laura Labuschagne

for her Bachelor's thesis in open space planning: "Endangered biotope types as a basis for urban planting concepts".

Recognition

Dominik Hagemann

for his Bachelor's thesis in the Landscape Development course: "Landscape architectural contributions to the mobility transition - vision for a landscape-based commuter network for the Lingen university campus".

1st prize

Sina Zenke

for her Master's thesis at the Institute of Landscape Architecture: "Re-material - circular building in landscape architecture".

2nd prize

Marlene Michalski

for her Bachelor's thesis at the Institute of Landscape Architecture: "Grün.Vernetzt. Urban. Increasing biodiversity in urban areas using the example of Südstadt in Hanover".

Recognition

Ying Zezheng

for his Master's thesis at the Institute of Landscape Architecture: "Mutualism Landscape: Landscape architectural strategy for the revitalization of the landslide area during the 2021 flood disaster in Erftstadt".

The bdla Niedersachsen Bremen would like to thank all those who submitted their work and congratulate the winners on their innovative and outstanding work.

The prizes were presented to the participants at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and Arts at the Campus Conference on March 18, 2024.

At Leibniz University Hannover, the award ceremony will take place at the graduation ceremony followed by the student council's summer night on June 14, 2024 from 5 pm.
