The Federal Chamber of Architects BAK and the Association of German Landscape Architects bdla drew attention to this at a joint parliamentary evening on March 19 in Berlin. A key message is that, from the perspective of planning practice, legislative changes aimed solely at shortening procedures fall short.

Recommendations for a landscape-oriented acceleration of planning in times of biodiversity and climate crisis

Enormous ecological, social and economic challenges as a result of advancing climate change, massive losses of biodiversity and increasing scarcity of resources characterize our time. All facts and data relating to the professional association are summarized on around 230 pages in a handy A5 format. More speed in the expansion of renewable energies and electricity grids: The regulation establishing a framework for accelerated expansion of the use of renewable energies is intended to generate a significant acceleration of the expansion of renewable energies in the member states. Among other things, the regulation stipulates that member states can waive an environmental impact assessment and a species protection assessment in approval procedures for renewable energy installations and the electricity grids required for their expansion under certain conditions.
