Climate-smart planning initiatives:
Summers that are too hot and too dry and low precipitation have an impact on the surrounding climate, especially in densely built-up cities. Landscape architecture has the potential to mitigate the effects of climate change and to make its consequences bearable in open spaces used by people.

"Prima Klima. That's landscape architecture!" was the title of an exhibition and numerous events jointly organised in 2019 by bdla Saxony, the Saxony Chamber of Architects, the state capital Dresden and TU Dresden.
The brochure was published to raise awareness among those responsible at the decisive levels and all professional planners working in urban space for a climate-conscious approach to open spaces in cities and rural areas.
