Since 2008, colleagues from the bdla Saxony regional group have been committed to improving the quality of open spaces at educational institutions.

Goals

With all-day care, not only the building, but also the outdoor area is an important living and learning space. Nursery and kindergarten children need a variety of outdoor spaces for their healthy development. Pupils are entitled to recreational areas and sufficient space to move around.

The "Educational Spaces Working Group" is involved here, among other things:

  • Speaking engagements and participation in specialist conferences on play space, daycare centers, schools
  • Expert opinions on draft legislation, petitions, school building guidelines
  • Own training events and conferences
  • Discussions and exchanges with planning partners, local authorities, specialist colleagues
  • Saxon children's garden competition (jury work, advice since 2008)
  • Saxon school garden competition (jury participation and advice)
