In view of the negative economic effects of the Corona pandemic, the Bundestag passed an economic stimulus and future package with a volume of 130 billion euros on 2 July 2020. Planning and construction industry proposes four-point plan

In a four-point plan "Economic stimulation through innovation and building culture", 21 associations of the planning and construction industry, including the Association of German Landscape Architects bdla, have summarised their proposals for politicians to overcome the Corona crisis. On 26 May 2020, representatives of the Federal Chamber of Architects (BAK) and the Federal Foundation for Building Culture presented the plan to Anne Katrin Bohle, State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of the Interior, for Building and the Homeland.

The Bundesverband Garten-, Landschafts- und Sportplatzbau e.V. (BGL), the Association of German Landscape Architects (bdla), the Association of German Nurseries (BdB) e.V. and the Central Horticultural Association (Zentralverband Gartenbau e.V.). (ZVG), together with the environmental umbrella organisation Deutscher Naturschutzring (DNR), are calling for an effective funding programme for municipal green spaces.

Ingeborg Paland is leaving. Mario Kahl new federal managing director as of 1 May 2020.

Ingeborg Paland, the long-time federal managing director of the bdla, is leaving office after a serious illness. The lawyer had successfully led the association for over 28 years. The executive committee expressed its thanks and appreciation for her great services to the professional association of landscape architects, the profession and the representation towards politics and in numerous association committees.

On 1 May 2020, Dipl.-Ing. Mario Kahl took over the position of Federal Managing Director at the Association of German Landscape Architects in Berlin. The appointment was made by the bdla presidium.
