In April of this year, the Advisory Board passed almost unanimously: As a first step towards more gender equity and diversity, an update of the association's name and logo will take place as a programmatic declaration of intent. We need to reflect again on what we stand for, who we want to reach, and how we communicate as an association in the future. It is therefore worth taking a brief look back.

IFLA Europe invites you to an English-language webinar entitled "healing landscapes" on Thursday, June 23 from 16-17:30. The discussion will focus on qualitatively appealing outdoor and open spaces of hospitals, rehabilitation and trauma centers in the therapy process. The general benefits of landscape and nature for human well-being will also be addressed.

In its ruling of January 18, the European Court of Justice (ECJ) decided that the unlawfulness of the binding HOAI minimum rates, as determined by the ECJ itself, does not preclude so-called actions for increases in the rates for contracts concluded before the HOAI 2021 came into force.

On Friday, May 13, 2022, the bdla awarded the best works in the competition German Landscape Architecture Award 2021 at the Allianz Forum at Pariser Platz in Berlin in the presence of Klara Geywitz, Federal Minister for Housing, Urban Development and Construction. IFLA-Europe, for example, is organizing a conference entitled "reconnecting with nature - Landscape architects at the forefront of the sustainable and creative urban transformation" on the interaction of EU policies and landscape architecture.
