Eleven prizes from modernisation to neighbourhood development
On the evening of 19 February 2020, the prizes in the competition for the German Building Owner Award were awarded at the Berlin construction trade fair bautec. In the presence of 350 guests, representatives of the sponsors and State Secretary Anne Katrin Bohle, Federal Ministry of the Interior, for Building and Home Affairs, awarded prizes to eleven of the 33 nominees.

On February 8, 2020, Frank Schröder, landscape architect bdla from Wernigerode, passed away at the age of 45. Frank Schröder had been admitted to the Chamber of Architects of Saxony-Anhalt in 2010; in 2016 he joined bdla, and in 2017 he took over the chairmanship of the bdla regional association of Saxony-Anhalt.

bdla was a guest at the congress of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group on "Building - Living - Housing".
On 29 January 2020, the CDU/CSU parliamentary group had invited to the congress "Building - Living - Living" in the German Bundestag. Federal Minister of Construction Horst Seehofer and the parliamentary group chairman Ralph Brinckhaus emphasized the social necessity and economic importance of construction.
