General meeting in Hanover

Anzeige Text im Grid: Nein

This year's general meeting took place - in a smaller format than usual - in Hanover.

Instead of a full-day event with an afternoon excursion program, this year some bdla members started with a guided tour through the historic Welfengarten, redesigned by Kamil Louafi, at the campus of the Leibniz University Hannover. The Welfengarten is part of the Herrenhausen Gardens and was hardly noticeable as such before the redesign. Jutta Becker from the office ALAND Nord, who was involved in the redesign with a landscape conservation plan, presented Louafi's design and explained many details about the redesign of the historic park.

At 4.00 p.m. the general meeting started in the "Café Kreipe`s CoffeeTime.

"Desire for green" at the time of architecture

Anzeige Text im Grid: Nein

To kick off the architecture season, the bdla Lower Saxony Bremen is once again participating with an event under the motto "Lust auf Grün". This format is intended to make the topic of "green infrastructure" visible. Green infrastructure is multi-faceted and stands for planning, securing, developing and managing the entirety of urban green and open spaces and the surrounding landscape.

In 2018, successful examples were shown at a Weser tour, and in 2019 a bike tour took place in Braunschweig on the former Ringgleis. This year we want to paddle in Hanover.

Climate-adapted building with green roofs - missing in the NBauO

UI-Optionen: Sponsorenfeld
Anzeige Text im Grid: Nein

In the planned new regulation of the NBauO, photovoltaic systems for electricity generation on roofs (§ 32a NBauO draft) are prescribed for the first time.

However, this only takes into account one energy-related aspect of future-oriented building development. The current challenges posed by climate change and the necessary adaptation to the consequences of climate change, as well as the requirements of preserving biodiversity in our highly sealed settlement areas, are not taken into account. Regulations for the installation of green roofs urgently need to be added.
