The tenth competition of the nrw.landscapearchitecture.award breaks new ground: in addition to classic object planning, in 2022 conceptual, green design, landscape planning, urban planning, climate-impacting projects will also be evaluated. The submission deadline has been extended. The new deadline is 25 February 2022.

The regional group of the bdla nw (Association of German Landscape Architects) has been conducting a nationwide competition for young landscape architects for years, now for the tenth time, together with the respective Landesgartenschau GmbH. The jury meeting chaired by Laura Heuschneider, landscape architect Rheda-Wiedenbrück took place on October 17, 2021. From the 18 entries submitted, the jury awarded three prize winners (one 1st prize and two 3rd prizes) and one recognition.

For the tenth time now, the regional group of the bdla nw, together with the respective management company of the North Rhine-Westphalian state garden shows, is holding a nationwide competition for students, graduates and young landscape architects. Rarely has there been such a great opportunity for young landscape architects to present their work to a broad public.

At the general meeting on 8 September, Christian Jürgensmann was dismissed as deputy chairman of the North Rhine-Westphalia regional group of the Association of German Landscape Architects. However, he remains active on the board as a spokesman for competition and public procurement. With the election to the deputy chairman Rhineland Andreas Hermanns, freelance landscape architect from Schwalmtal, now takes over this task. Laura Heuschneider is the new spokesperson for plant use. Further spokespersons were confirmed in their offices.

The Association of German Landscape Architects of North Rhine-Westphalia (bdla nw) has awarded the nrw.landscapearchitecture.prize 2020. From 14 entries, a jury chaired by Prof. Gert Aufmkolk unanimously awarded prizes to three works, while two other projects were commended by the jury. All the works illustrate how parks, gardens and open spaces create new and impressive landscape experiences and at the same time address future issues of the built environment.

bdla nw and VGL NRW invite you to a collegial exchange. This time, the topic is "Disruptions to the construction process on construction sites". This year, for the third time, FSB is hosting the so-called bdla Day as part of the Planners' Forum. In the Rhineland, they already speak of customs.
