We are looking for a*n
at the main department of traffic planning and road construction, green spaces, surveying in the green spaces department from 01.01.2025



Head of department for the area of green maintenance (m/f/d)



Full-time, open-ended

Payment is made up to pay group 13 TVöD.



Your tasks:

- Management of the department in all organizational and financial matters (the department includes 7 districts with 650 ha of green spaces and 50,000 trees, including 176 ha of public green spaces, 228 public playgrounds, 220 ha of traffic green spaces, 194 ha of landscape development areas)

- Managing and developing the assigned staff (11 master gardeners)

- Organizing and monitoring horticultural maintenance

- Performing the duties of public safety

- Strategic planning and conceptual management of green space maintenance



Your profile:

- Completed engineering studies (diploma FH/Bachelor) in the field of landscape conservation or landscape architecture or comparable qualification

- Knowledge of gardening and landscaping

- Specialist knowledge in personnel management, ability to cooperate and deal with conflict as well as communication and teamwork skills

- Willingness to make decisions and take responsibility

- Technical and specialist knowledge (FLL tree control guidelines, FLL tree care, VOB, neighborhood law, BNaschG, species protection, etc.)
