The sustainable planning, safeguarding and management of public green spaces, the city forest and cemeteries in all their spectrums are among the tasks of the Parks Department. With its 740 employees in six specialist departments, who belong to a wide variety of professional groups, the Parks Department is an interesting and multifaceted unit. Head of department (f/m/d) Project development and overall planning



Full-time, part-time

EGr. 13 TVöD



Your tasks will include:

- Management of the project development and higher-level planning department with currently 6 employees

- Management, coordination and supervision of higher-level green and open space planning (B-plans, development plans, etc.)

- Creation of concepts for green spaces for different forms of use and requirements

- Representation of the office in urban and cross-city working groups

- Organization and supervision of public participation processes and planning workshops

- Representation of the specialist department for allotment gardens and small animal breeding

- Deputy head of the planning and construction department



You bring with you:

- Completed (scientific) university degree (Diploma (Univ./FH) / Master's / Bachelor's) with a focus on open space planning

- Many years of proven professional experience

- Proven management experience and leadership skills

- Ideally, specialist knowledge in the fields of landscape architecture, landscape planning, green space management, urban land use planning, urban planning and traffic planning

- Good knowledge of building law, VOF, HOAI and the competition system

- Negotiating skills, assertiveness, coordination and cooperation skills

- High level of competence in rhetoric, personal appearance and written expression

- Extensive commitment to the area of responsibility and stress tolerance

- Strong ability to work independently

- Willingness to work in a team

- Good IT skills (MS Office)

- Diversity and gender competence
